New Rides Coming to Cedar Fair Theme Parks in 2023
Cedar Fair recently announced a wave of new additions coming to their theme parks in 2023. Here’s an overview of the new additions park by park:
Canada’s Wonderland (Toronto, Canada)
Canada’s Wonderland invites guests to buckle up in 2023 with two new additions. First, the park will debut Snoopy’s Racing Railway, the park’s 18th roller coaster. This family-launch coaster will accelerate up to 31 mph and weave through a series of dips and turns.
Second, the park will add Tundra Twister, a first of its type thrill ride with rotating gondola arms. This ride will spin, twist, and twirl riders upside down high in the sky.
Carowinds (Charlotte, North Carolina)
To celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2023, Carowinds will open Aeronautica Landing where visitors can fly the Carolina skies. This newly themed area features 5 new rides and 2 new places to eat.

Cedar Point (Sandusky, Ohio)
Cedar Point is opening a new themed land, The Boardwalk, just steps away from the Lake Erie shoreline. This area features new ride, dining, and entertainment offerings for the entire family. Most notably, the park will introduce its 18th roller coaster with a new Wild Mouse roller coaster and open a Grand Pavilion, as the stars of the new land.
Knott’s Berry Farm (Buena Park, California)
Knott’s Berry Farm will open a revitalized Fiesta Village section of the park including a reimagined Montezooma’s Revenge in 2023. The historic coaster will be renamed MonteZOOMa: The Forbidden Fortress and feature an immersive storyline with new surprise thrills for its riders.
The Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel next door will also receive major upgrades to rooms and common areas including the lobby and hotel pool.
Worlds of Fun (Kansas City, Missouri)
To celebrate 50 years of fun, Worlds of Fun is bringing back the Zambezi Zinger as a new hybrid roller coaster in 2023. This new wood and steel hybrid roller coaster features a spiral lift hill, iconic to the original ride, and mimics an epic safari chase through the African Serengeti.

California’s Great America (Santa Clara, California)
California’s Great America is introducing an expanded lineup of events, live shows, new attractions, kid-sized fun, and waterpark adventures in 2023. The park will also extend their operating calendar to be open every weekend.
