Carowinds Announces New Aeronautica Landing Area for 2023
To celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2023, Carowinds will open Aeronautica Landing where visitors can fly the Carolina skies. This newly themed area features 5 new rides, and a re-theme of one current ride, for 6 new ride experiences in total.
Aeronautica Landing also replaces the former Crossroads area of the park and serves as a tribute to Carolinas’ spirit of aviation and exploration, beginning with the Wright Brothers.
In addition, Aeronautica Landing boasts two new dining venues.
- Terminal A Restaurant and Bar – Serving craft beer and delicious eats on a stunning patio, modeled after high-end sky clubs.
- Air Drop Supply Co – A walk-up diner themed to simulate airplanes dropping containers filled with supplies to people below.
Also as part of the 50th anniversary celebration at Carowinds, the park will add in limited-time offerings. Throughout the year, guests can enjoy special entertainment, food and drink, and merchandise honoring Carowinds’ past, present, and future.
