MILD – These are the best days to visit Universal. Expect “low” wait times on average. (Express passes not needed.)
MODERATE – Expect moderate to high wait times for popular attractions reaching one hour. (Express passes optional.)
BUSY – Expect high wait times for major rides and shows exceeding one hour. (Express passes recommended.)
VERY BUSY – Expect maximum wait times for all attractions, shows, and restaurants. (Express passes highly recommended.)

Note: This crowd calendar predicts crowds for normal daily operation and excludes separately ticketed events like Halloween Horror Nights. Also, the actual crowd levels might vary from these predictions due to other factors like weather.
How do we predict the crowd levels each day?
Our 12 years of experience visiting the parks is a big help in determining crowd levels for our Universal Orlando Crowd Calendar. But, in order to maintain our accuracy, we also:
- Watch the schedule of events (HHN, Mardi Gras, etc.) and the concert schedule throughout the year
- Monitor the park hours for Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay
- Check school schedules and holidays for local Florida counties and other big cities in the United States
- Pay attention to peak vacation periods for international countries that visit Universal the most including England, Brazil, and more
