Men in Black Alien Attack at Universal Studios Florida 2022 - United Thrills

Men in Black Alien Attack Ride Overview

Save New York from an alien invasion on Men in Black Alien Attack, an interactive shooting dark ride. As the newest agents in training, it’s up to you to zap those aliens back to their home planet. Plus, vehicles who zap enough aliens and score high, will earn their black suits and have them “ready by next Wednesday.”

For fans of the ride, the ultimate goal is to max out the score at 999,999 and become a Galaxy Defender, a feat not easily accomplished.

Also, future riders should note that the ride vehicles spin. Riders will have an opportunity to shoot at a nearby vehicle with other riders and any successful hits of the target at the top makes their vehicle spin.

Basic Ride Information

Ride Type: Shooting Dark Ride
Thrill Level: Moderate – Fun for most ages.
Height Requirement: 42 inches (or 107 cm) – Guests under 48 inches (or 122 cm) require a supervising companion.
Child Swap: Available
Test Seat: Not available

Save Time in Line: This ride accepts Universal Express passes and often has a single rider line available too. Also, the single rider line moves fast on this ride as the vehicle rows are an awkward three across.

Ride Photo: Available for purchase.

Loose Articles:

  • Bags and loose articles that do not fit in pockets are not allowed on the ride and must be placed in a locker.
  • Riders can keep items that fit in pockets like phones and wallets, but we recommend against it. The ride vehicle moves enough that items can fall out of loose pockets. Also, even items in pockets are technically not allowed according to Universal signage, but the policy is rarely enforced.

Lockers:

  • Lockers are available to the right of the ride entrance near the MIB Gear Shop.
  • Free small lockers are available while you ride and can hold items including phones, empty Coke Freestyle Cups, most cameras, and small bags like purses.
  • Larger lockers than can fit backpacks inside are available to rent starting at $2.

Guests use their park ticket or annual pass to rent and re-open a locker, so keep your ticket with you as you ride. If you accidentally leave the ticket in the locker, find the assigned Universal team member nearby for assistance.

Accessibility:

  • This attraction has a modified ride vehicle that accommodates a standard wheelchair on the ride.
  • Learn additional accessibility information on Universal Orlando’s website here.

Our Recommendations

Ride Priority: High – Plan this into your day.

Best Time to Ride: For the shortest wait, ride during the first two hours the park is open.

Best Seats in the House: The front right and front left seats provide the best line of sight for shooting the targets.

Men in Black Immigration Tour

The Men in Black Immigration Tour is a free behind the scenes tour offered at the attraction. This tour is offered on less busy days at the park when the attraction has a staff member to spare.

Also, to see if they can do the tour on a select day, simply walk up to the attraction attendant at the entrance and ask! They may pass the question to the supervisor to check. If the answer is yes, then they will direct you on what to do next which may include going on the ride as normal and then waiting at the exit or the child swap area.

What Will I Experience on the Tour?

  • Visit the control room with the tentacled twins, Bweryang and Bob, that the standard queue passes above.
  • Sign the Men in Black logbook of interplanetary visitors to leave your somewhat permanent mark on the attraction.
