E.T. Adventure Ride Overview
Grab your flying bicycle and soar across the night sky to help E.T. find his way back home to the Green Planet on E.T. Adventure. The planet is dying and E.T.’s friends need his healing touch to save their planet. Plus, at the end of your journey, E.T. may even thank you for your help by name.
This ride begins with the iconic chase scene as E.T. tries to escape back to his home planet while pursued by police officers and NASA. Then, riders venture through the stars and make it to the Green Planet where they meet E.T.’s friends and a celebration ensues.

E.T. Adventure is located in Woody Woodpecker’s KidZone at the Universal Studios Florida theme park.

Ride Type: Flying Dark Ride
Thrill Level: Low – Fun for all ages.
Height Requirement: 34 inches (or 86.36 cm) – Guests under 48 inches (or 122 cm) require a supervising companion.
Child Swap: Available upon request
Test Seat: Not available
Save Time in Line: This ride accepts Universal Express passes, but does not offer a single rider line.
Ride Photo: This attraction does not offer an on-ride photo, but the gift shop offers a photo opportunity with E.T. after.
Loose Articles:
- Riders may bring most bags and loose articles on the ride with them, but should secure loose articles to the best of their ability. Also, we recommend emptying out any Coke Freestyle cups before the ride unless you have a convenient backpack side pocket to keep it in.
- Bags may be hung from the bicycle handlebars in front of you during the ride.
Accessibility:
- This attraction has a modified ride vehicle that accommodates a standard wheelchair on the ride. Bench seating is also offered in addition to the traditional seats.

Our Recommendations
Ride Priority: Moderate – Experience this ride as long as time allows. It is a classic at the park after all!
Best Time to Ride: For the shortest wait, ride before 10am or after 5pm.
Best Seats in the House: The ride vehicles contain three rows of four seats each. We recommend sitting in the front row for the best overall view or on the left most seat of any row for the best view of flying over the city below, one of the coolest scenes in the ride.
