IAAPA 2019 Spotlight: SeaWorld Parks
SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment made a huge splash at IAAPA 2019. The company revealed four lead trains, and one ride name, for their five roller coasters opening in 2020. Let’s dive into all the reveals!
Iron Gwazi Train Reveal (Busch Gardens Tampa)
Bite into serious thrills on Iron Gwazi coming to Busch Gardens Tampa next spring. This monstrous roller coaster takes thrills to new heights with a 206-foot tall hill and 91-degree drop. Plus, Iron Gwazi chomps its way to North America’s tallest, fastest, and steepest hybrid roller coaster, outshining Cedar Point’s Steel Vengeance. Also, this coaster is one of the most anticipated ride openings of 2020.
Ice Breaker Train Reveal (SeaWorld Orlando)
Break the ice next spring at SeaWorld Orlando with Ice Breaker. This coaster opens as SeaWorld Orlando’s first launched coaster and features four launches. Plus, two of those launches are backwards! Ice Breaker also features a 93-foot beyond vertical spike, if the backward launches weren’t already crazy enough. Additionally, the ride boasts a 48-inch height requirement making it a family friendly thrill.
Texas Stingray Train Reveal (SeaWorld San Antonio)
Texas Stingray swims into SeaWorld San Antonio next spring as the tallest, fastest, and longest wooden coaster in Texas. This wooden roller coaster stars over 15 airtime hills “lifting” riders out of their seats and boasts a 100-foot drop. This ride also opens as the park’s sixth roller coaster.
Pantheon Train Reveal (Busch Gardens Williamsburg)
Pantheon strikes Busch Gardens Williamsburg next spring as the world’s fastest multi-launched roller coaster. This coaster includes a top speed of 72 mph, height of 178 feet, a beyond-vertical drop, and so much more! Click here to learn more about this unique roller coaster and its cool elements.
Emperor Ride Name Reveal (SeaWorld San Diego)
Its official. SeaWorld San Diego’s upcoming B&M Dive Coaster will be named Emperor! This new coaster dangles riders 153-feet in the air before plunging them down a vertical drop. Also, this coaster takes flight in summer 2020 and will hold the record for the tallest, fastest, and longest dive coaster in California.
