Hersheypark Announces New 210-Foot Roller Coaster for 2020
This week, Hersheypark announced their 15th roller coaster, Candymonium, set to open in summer 2020!
This new coaster will stand 210-feet tall, reach speeds of 76 mph, and last 2 minutes and 26 seconds. These statistics make the coaster the tallest, fastest, and longest coaster in the park. Additionally, the ride will also be the parks ‘sweetest’ coaster with chocolate colored track and trains themed to Hershey’s Kisses, Twizzlers, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. Also, speaking of Twizzlers, guests will need to be at the Twizzlers height mark to ride, 54 inches tall.
Candymonium is the featured attraction for Hershey’s Chocolatetown, a $150 million expansion opening next year. This expansion will also feature a new restaurant, Starbucks, two dessert shops, merchandise store, and a new entrance to the park.
