Fun Spot Atlanta Announces ArieForce One Roller Coaster for 2022
Fun Spot America in Atlanta is opening a brand-new roller coaster, ArieForce One, for the 2022 season. This new roller coaster comes at a price tag of $13 million, making it Fun Spot’s largest single ride investment ever.
“ArieForce One is a tribute to my father and his passion for flying. We will have you believing you’re traveling into space with all the airtime moments and weightlessness” a roller coaster of this type provides, said Fun Spot America CEO and Owner, John Arie Jr.
The announcement came at the IAAPA Expo 2021 in Orlando, FL where Fun Spot also debuted the ride-vehicle at the Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC) booth. RMC, who designed and manufactured the coaster, is known worldwide for their hybrid-style roller coasters. They also have a loyal following of fans that travel the county to ride their roller coasters.
“The addition of ArieForce One is a huge milestone for our company and the first of many new Marque rides and attractions yet to come to the Fayetteville, GA park. As a one-of-a-kind roller coaster, custom designed to the topography and layout of Fun Spot Atlanta, no other RMC roller coaster has this combination of elements. The Raven Truss Dive and the Zero-G Roll over the arcade are the first-of-their-kind in the world” said John Arie Jr.
At the announcement, one Fun Spot America employee joked about how the Zero-G Roll over the arcade serves as the “mid-flight snack break.”
Other notable features of the ride include:
- A 154-foot lift hill with a steep 83-degree first drop
- Speeds reaching 64 mph
- Four total inversions including a 180-degree stall
- Airtime moments including a fan-favorite quad down, also found on Lightning Rod at Dollywood
