Fast and Furious – Supercharged Early April Ride Status Update

Fast and Furious – Supercharged is a thrilling new attraction coming to Universal Orlando resort this spring. However, an opening date has not been announced for the attraction and many are starting to wonder what’s going on. So, here is what we know about the status of the attraction:

What we Know: (As of April 4th)

  • Construction of the ride and queue has finished and construction workers have left the area.
  • The President of Universal Orlando, Bill Davis, is the only person confirmed to have ridden the ride.
  • Employee previews of the ride have not taken place. Additionally, employees have not been notified of any upcoming ride previews at this time. (As of April 2nd)
  • Fast & Furious team members and Universal Creative are running the ride frequently and working to get it operating fully and consistently.

What we *Think* we Know:

(*By think, we mean these points are believed but not completely confirmed)

  • The ride is having some technical difficulties and issues at the moment. However, we are not sure what these difficulties actually are.
  • The ride was already supposed to be open to the public, but these issues have delayed the opening.

When do we think the ride will open?

That’s a tough question because we don’t exactly know what the issues are. Our hope is that Fast & Furious opens up late April, but there’s a chance the opening may get delayed into May.

We will update you when more information becomes available.
