Disney World Begins Charging Guests for Parking at Resorts

Walt Disney World officially announced parking fees at its on-site resorts today. These parking fees will begin March 21st and cost $24 at Deluxe resorts. This price is more than Disney currently charges for theme park parking at $22. Likewise, parking will cost $19 at moderate resorts and $13 at value resorts.

Universal Orlando Resort already charges guests for parking at its resorts as do many other companies in the hotel industry. While the addition of these parking fees are common in the industry, this is a first for Walt Disney World which currently only charges for parking at its theme parks.

What are ways to avoid this newly added parking fee? Well, the best option is using Disney’s Magical Express bus service instead of renting a car when arriving at Orlando International Airport. Likewise, on property, Disney has an excellent bus system that will get you anywhere you need to be on property. In a hurry? Disney also recently added a new Minnie Van transportation system for a small fee.
