Brand-New Hotel Announced for Disneyland Resort in California!

Big news coming from Disneyland Resort in California today!

The resort just announced a brand-new hotel coming to the property in 2021. The hotel will be quite extensive featuring 700 rooms, numerous shops, restaurants, and a platform inside the hotel for the Disneyland Monorail giving guests quick and easy access to both theme parks. In addition, a restaurant and lounge at the top will give guests a magical view of the famous Disneyland fireworks.

Similarly, this new hotel will be themed with an oasis or tropical paradise in mind. Beautiful landscaping and unique water elements will be found all around the hotel. It is clear that nature will be a very prominent aspect of the guest experience at the venue. Likewise, visitors will encounter a large variety of different plant species as they explore the property.

The hotel will be built on what is currently parking space for Downtown Disney and part of Downtown Disney itself. This means a few businesses such as Rainforest Cafe, ESPN Zone, and the AMC movie theater on property will be shutting down to make way for this new hotel. It is unclear as of now whether they will close permanently, or will move to another location on the resort property. Construction of this hotel is set to begin in 2018, a year before Star Wars comes to Disneyland.
