Best Orlando Theme Park Christmas Celebrations 2017!
The Christmas season is a busy time for the Orlando area theme parks and for good reason! All the parks put on great festivities for the Christmas season which includes decorating the parks, bringing in new shows, and more! But with so many awesome holiday events, which theme parks do it the best? We visited all of them this season and are here to share with you our favorites!
(Note: Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party was not included here because it is a separate pay for event)
3rd Place – Epcot (Walt Disney World)
Taking the 3rd spot on our list is Epcot’s International Festival of the Holidays. This park has our favorite Christmas festivities of all the Disney World parks this year. All around World Showcase, the countries are decked out in wonderful and unique Christmas decorations. Each country even has extra food booths to try some yummy holiday food. Although, the portions have gotten smaller this year but the food is still just as delicious. Plus, the Candlelight Processional is one of our favorite things of all the parks for the Christmas season and it features a fantastic group of celebrities this year including Whoopi Goldberg. Lastly, The Illuminations: Reflections of Earth Fireworks show at night time even has an extra holiday ending which is always great.
2nd Place – Universal Orlando Resort
Universal Orlando Resort really stepped up their Christmas game this year with tons of new additions in both of their theme parks! Highlights this year include the new Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts projection show and the all new Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s. It also features other great new shows such as the Frog Choir who sing holiday classics from both the muggle and wizarding worlds. There are also decorations all throughout the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Plus, for a limited time, guests can also grab a Hot Butterbeer which is a must have on any “cold” Florida night. And of course there are still all the classics from previous years such as ‘How the Grinch Stole Grinchmas’!
1st Place – SeaWorld Orlando
SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration takes our spot for the best theme park Christmas event in Orlando this year! This event wowed us from the second the sun set. The park is decked with over one million lights all over the park and it is beautiful. Plus, they have a handful of fantastic shows for the event including the ever popular O’ Wondrous Night and Winter Wonderland on Ice. Guests can even meet Rudolph and friends! And with advance admission costing only $80, it’s the best deal of all the Orlando Theme Parks for the Christmas season.
